Grassroots Book Room
Founded in 1995, Grassroots Book Room is an independent Chinese bookstore and publisher in Singapore. Established by renowned writer Yeng Pway Ngon and later taken over by a new team in 2014, it has served as a space for literary and cultural exchange. The bookstore curates Chinese titles from across Asia, primarily in the genres of literature, history, social sciences, philosophy, arts and lifestyle. It also features a succinct collection of English local literature and humanities books. Through its collections, Grassroots Book Room seeks to promote diverse perspectives and cross-cultural dialogue.
